LEARNING L.A.

I received a scholarship travelling to the USA to search/explore/find motives which, through film and media, defined America throughout my youth.

Being an outsider to the place and culture, I decided to observe and create a set of objects which embody parts of my expectations, preconceptions and findings.

These were presented in an exhibition and then, in the form of postcards, were sent to people I met along the way to allow me to discuss my findings in a different way. These postcards are framed with a patterned version of the content I presented as part of my research.
